The KLCI eased on concerns over the countrys economic outlook and lower-than-expected industrial output for January. The index closed at 843.5 points for a loss of 1.7% over the week.
Regional markets closed broadly higher on optimism that regional governments will announce more counter-cyclical economic measures to stimulate economic activities this year.
The market is anticipated to move in tandem with overseas markets as investors monitor the outlook for the U.S. credit market, global economic growth and interest rates.
