WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
The FBM KLCI crossed the 1,300 points level for the first time in 20 months on Friday morning before closing at 1,298.6 points to register a gain of 0.4% for the week.
Regional markets traded on a mixed note with the China-related markets easing following the central banks move to slow credit growth by raising the reserve requirement ratio by 50 basis points to 16%.
Looking ahead, the local market is anticipated to move in tandem with overseas markets. Investors will continue to monitor the outlook for the U.S. and global economic activities and interest rates.
